SPINACH, PINEAPPLE, LIME AND MINT SMOOTHIE

makes 1 smoothies (250 calories)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 T pure acacia fiber
  • 1/2 cup Granny Smith apple chunks
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup spinach, firmly packed
  • 1/3 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 t. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/8 t. lime zest
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  1. put the water, fiber, apple, pineapple, spinach, mint, lime juice and lime zest in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. add the protein powder and the ice and blend until smooth

 

SPICED APPLE PIE SMOOTHIE

makes 1 smoothie (274 calories)
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, or homemade almond milk
  • 1 T pure acacia fiber
  • 1 cup roughly chopped apple
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • 2 packets monk fruit extract (Monk Fruit In The Raw)
  • 1 t. ground cinnamon
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  1. put the almond milk, fiber, apple, vanilla, monk fruit extract and cinnamon in a blender and blend until smooth
  2. add the protein powder and ice, and blend until smooth.

ALMOND VANILLA PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

makes 1 smoothie (269 calories)
  • 2 T almonds
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, or homemade almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 T pure acacia fiber
  • 1/4 t. almond extract
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • 2 packets of monk fruit extract (Monk Fruit In The Raw)
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  1. preheat the oven to 400 F
  2. place the almonds in a skillet or on a rimmed baking sheet and toast in the oven until a deep golden brown, 3-4 mintues
  3. put the almond milk, water, fiber, toasted almonds, almond and vanilla extracts, and monk fruit extract in a blender, and blend until smooth.
  4. add the protein powder and ice and blend until smooth
